Maui Wowi at Newburyport Springfest

Maui Wowi was lucky enough to spend the 2008 Memorial Day Weekend in Newburyport, MA. It seems we discover a new favorite town every weekend! As a proud member of the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, we are excited that this is only the first of 4 Newburyport events we'll be attending this year and serving our delicious smoothies and coffees. To say it was a great weekend, would be a severe understatement. The weather could not have been better with 80 degrees and sunny each day.The smoothies were flowing and the iced and hot Kona Coffee was getting everyone into the Aloha Spirit! There was a coffee company from Seattle nearby, that you may have heard of, with a kiosk that didn't stand a chance to our Kona Coffee. I think they were giving coffee away, and still didn't have lines as long as ours. We were very proud of that and to be associated with people who know good Kona Coffee when they see it!! As far as our famous smoothies go, it was non-stop all weekend long and our pleasure to serve our healthy drinks to the visitors and residents of Newburyport. What we enjoyed most was seeing a lot of people come back for a second and third one! Even we were surprised at that! If we were to open up a Maui Wowi store, this might be the first place we'd look to open one. We're looking forward to our next Newburyport event, The River Music Festival. Mahalo!

Maui Wowi at "Meadow Days" in Longmeadow, MA

All we can say is, WOW(I)! What a great town Longmeadow is! It's picturesque and home to some of the nicest people you could meet. The Aloha spirit was going strong here. This was our first time at Meadow Days, but not the first time for Maui Wowi. We don't know for sure how many people turned out for this event, but we didn't exactly have time to count either, as we had a line of 20-30 people all day long for both days wanting to try our delicious Hawaiian Smoothies and Coffees. We estimate serving over 500 smoothies per day! Who even knew that was possible? Not only did the good people of Longmeadow get to enjoy some healthy, delicious smoothies, but a portion of the proceeds went back to the Longmeadow Historical Society, which organizes the 2 day event each year. We look forward to being back at Longmeadow again next year!
