Maui Wowi at WNEC as a Part of Skin Care Expo

Maui Wowi has partnered up with Surviving Skin and is a part of Surviving Skin's "Skin Fairs" happening on college campuses all over New England! The first one of these events was held at my alma mater, WNEC! Meghan Rothschild, founder of Surviving Skin, and a Melanoma survivor, speaks about her experience beating the disease and teaches college students how to protect themselves from it. Additionally, Envy Mobile Tans, Maui Wowi and Ava Anderson non-toxic make-up are on hand for students as well. Students can sample Ava Anderson products, grab a smoothie from Maui Wowi, and get a spray tan from Envy Mobile Tan! As a proud WNEC Alum, I was excited when WNEC booked Maui Wowi for Homecoming 2010. It works out pretty well. I get to enjoy the WNEC Homecoming Festivities, and also get to provide Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies to the crowd there as well. Sounds like a win-win to me. Keene State College Welcomes Back Students with Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies!

The Maui Wowi College Tour Continues....This week we find ourselves in the lovely town of Keene, NH at Keene State College. As part of their Welcome Back Week, Zack and Jen from Student Activities put on an event for students to be able to get a feel for what clubs and activities are available to them. Everything from Frats & Sororities, to Rugby Club & Chess Club were on display. So, in order to ensure a good student turn-out at the event, they invited Maui Wowi to bring our Tiki Hut on campus and serve our all-natural, non-fat delicious smoothies to everyone. The attendance was awesome and everyone had a great time! Mahalo once again to both Jen and Zack for bringing us in. We hope this is the first of many times we will be working with you! Why Kona Coffee Is Different

In order to be called “Kona Coffee,” coffee must be grown in a small area on the West Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Kona Coffee growing region is only about fifty square miles in all, and is farmed largely by small landowners.

Like much of Hawaii, Kona offers ideal climate conditions for growing coffee. But there is something different about the Kona coffee cherries produced here that has earned this coffee a worldwide reputation for excellence. It might be the dark rich volcanic soil, which contains a perfect blend of acidity and minerals, and retains just the right amount of water. It could be the dependable cloud cover that rolls in each afternoon, protecting the delicate coffee trees from the glaring afternoon sun.

The difference could also lie in the care with which Kona coffee is handpicked, ensuring that only the highest quality berries are harvested for coffee production. Maybe it is simply the fact that 100% Pure Kona Coffee is rare and sometimes hard to find. The rarest of Kona Coffee beans is Peaberry, making up only four to five percent of the entire Kona crop each year. Peaberry is unusual because each coffee cherry contains only one bean, while all other types of Kona contain two beans per cherry.

There are many things that set Kona Coffee apart from other coffees. One thing is certain, though – unless the bag says 100% Kona Coffee, you are not getting 100% Kona Coffee.

Maui Wowi bringing a Virtual Vacation back to AIC for Welcome Back Week

The students of American International College (AIC) just got back from Summer Vacation. But AIC thought they could use an extension. So, they called Maui Wowi to bring them a Virtual Vacation! We brought our Tiki Hut and Tropcial Smoothies to the students to make them feel like they were back on vacation at a tropical location. Maui Wowi back at Anna Maria College for Welcome Back Week!

We love going to Anna Maria College and love that they keep bringing us back! Some of the greatest students we come across are at this school and it's a fun event for us every time. This time Brian brought us in for Welcome Back Week. We were one of many festivities during this week, including a comedy show, the football team's first game of the year, and game shows galore. We served up Strawberry-Banana, Mango-Orange, and Banana-Banana smoothies to all the kids and got some of the new Frosh interacting with one another while standing in line waiting for their smoothie!
