Roger Williams University knows who to come to when they just wanna "Chill". Maui Wowi! We brought our Kona Chillin' drinks to campus this time for the Campus Entertainment Network to help promote the pep rally they were hosting later. What's Kona Chill, you ask? It's kind of like a coffee smoothie, made with our delicious gourmet Kona Coffee, straight from Hawaii, and either Mocha, Cookies N' Cream, or Peppermint Chocolate Chip flavoring. Maui Wowi Back At AIC To Help Provide A Stress Free Zone..

American International College is fast becoming one of our biggest clients! AIC had us back on campus to keep students warm and keep their minds off upcoming finals week by hosting a Stress Free Zone in the student Lounge. Maui Wowi Serves up Kona Espressos, Lattes and Hot Chocolate at University of Hartford's Spa Day!

Another day, another college, another spa day! Wait..what? That's right, Maui Wowi participates in Spa Days quite a bit for colleges. Usually, a college will have a massage therapist, pedicurists and manicurists on hand and Maui Wowi serving up espressos, lattes, and hot chocolates to all while they wait! It's a great way to keep students' minds off of exams and studying!

NACA Northeast Regional Conference 2010

It's an annual tradition for Maui Wowi of Massachusetts: The first week of November each year, you can find us at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT for the NACA Northeast Regional Conference! This being our 3rd year there, we are now seeing familiar faces and it's become a place to catch up with old friends, not to mention a place to introduce Maui Wowi's all natural, non-fat Hawaiian Smoothies & Coffees to new colleges and universities in the Northeast! As you can see from the pics, students had a great time enjoying our sample smoothies and we made some great new friends that will be bringing the Tiki Hut to their campus this coming semester! Why Kona Coffee Is Different

In order to be called “Kona Coffee,” coffee must be grown in a small area on the West Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Kona Coffee growing region is only about fifty square miles in all, and is farmed largely by small landowners.

Like much of Hawaii, Kona offers ideal climate conditions for growing coffee. But there is something different about the Kona coffee cherries produced here that has earned this coffee a worldwide reputation for excellence. It might be the dark rich volcanic soil, which contains a perfect blend of acidity and minerals, and retains just the right amount of water. It could be the dependable cloud cover that rolls in each afternoon, protecting the delicate coffee trees from the glaring afternoon sun.

The difference could also lie in the care with which Kona coffee is handpicked, ensuring that only the highest quality berries are harvested for coffee production. Maybe it is simply the fact that 100% Pure Kona Coffee is rare and sometimes hard to find. The rarest of Kona Coffee beans is Peaberry, making up only four to five percent of the entire Kona crop each year. Peaberry is unusual because each coffee cherry contains only one bean, while all other types of Kona contain two beans per cherry.

There are many things that set Kona Coffee apart from other coffees. One thing is certain, though – unless the bag says 100% Kona Coffee, you are not getting 100% Kona Coffee.

What a great way to be welcomed to the best 4 years of your life - with Maui Wowi Hawaiian Kona Coffees, Kona Cappuccinos & Lattes, and Mocha Chills! It was Move-In Day at Marymount Manhattan College, right in the heart of Mid-Town NYC, and they invited Maui Wowi to be on campus in the dorm lobby as students and parents were moving in. Each parent and student was greeted with a choice of our delicious Kona Coffee or Espressos or a Mocha Chill. We were there all weekend from 8am-2pm each day keeping the students and parents energized to get through the fun of Move-In Day!
