Maui Wowi back in Vermont at Norwich University's SnoBall 2011!

This was our second year at Norwich University for their Annual SnoBall event. The majority of the school is a military school. Hence the fatigues. We don't mind the almost 3 hour drive up there because we know how much Norwich loves Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies & Coffees. We served up strawberry-banana, mango-orange, and black-raspberry smoothies, along with caramel, vanilla and gingerbread Kona Lattes and Cappuccinos. Of course, let's not forget about the Ghiradelli Hot Kokos too! Norwich loves them some Maui Wowi ! If these students move on to joining the Army, we should all feel safe, knowing that they have drank Maui Wowi All-Natural, non-fat Smoothies with plenty of nutrients to help them keep our nation safe! Post University had Maui Wowi back on campus, but this time we were serving Kona Espressos, Lattes, and Ghiradelli Hot Kokos to the students for their Winter Carnival. We had a great 4 hours with them, and our newest employee, Drew, had a great time also. No better way to keep warm, than with a Maui Wowi Hot Koko or Kona Latte! This year, a little wrinkle was thrown in with a Blizzard that was in full force when we were supposed to be serving. Well, that didn't stop us! We cut right through it with our Kona Espressos and Hot Kokos! Don't forget to 'like' us at www.facebook.com/mauiwowimassachusetts

Maui Wowi and Luberto's Pastries Team Up Again to Give A Holiday Party to the Office Tenants of 18 Tremont Street

We have been working with BPG Property Management for over a year now. In the meantime, we met up with Luberto's Pastries from Revere, MA. Luberto's decided to bring us back in to BPG for thei holiday party at 18 Tremont Street, just like they did for 60 Temple Place. BPG loved it because they had worked with us in the past, and their tenants had been asking for Maui Wowi. We had a great time as usual and it was our last event of the year. Looking forward to 2011! Why Kona Coffee Is Different

Why Kona Coffee Is Different

In order to be called “Kona Coffee,” coffee must be grown in a small area on the West Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Kona Coffee growing region is only about fifty square miles in all, and is farmed largely by small landowners.

Like much of Hawaii, Kona offers ideal climate conditions for growing coffee. But there is something different about the Kona coffee cherries produced here that has earned this coffee a worldwide reputation for excellence. It might be the dark rich volcanic soil, which contains a perfect blend of acidity and minerals, and retains just the right amount of water. It could be the dependable cloud cover that rolls in each afternoon, protecting the delicate coffee trees from the glaring afternoon sun.

The difference could also lie in the care with which Kona coffee is handpicked, ensuring that only the highest quality berries are harvested for coffee production. Maybe it is simply the fact that 100% Pure Kona Coffee is rare and sometimes hard to find. The rarest of Kona Coffee beans is Peaberry, making up only four to five percent of the entire Kona crop each year. Peaberry is unusual because each coffee cherry contains only one bean, while all other types of Kona contain two beans per cherry.

There are many things that set Kona Coffee apart from other coffees. One thing is certain, though – unless the bag says 100% Kona Coffee, you are not getting 100% Kona Coffee.

What a great way to be welcomed to the best 4 years of your life - with Maui Wowi Hawaiian Kona Coffees, Kona Cappuccinos & Lattes, and Mocha Chills! It was Move-In Day at Marymount Manhattan College, right in the heart of Mid-Town NYC, and they invited Maui Wowi to be on campus in the dorm lobby as students and parents were moving in. Each parent and student was greeted with a choice of our delicious Kona Coffee or Espressos or a Mocha Chill. We were there all weekend from 8am-2pm each day keeping the students and parents energized to get through the fun of Move-In Day! Maui Wowi Back at The Movies! Serving Kona Coffee, Lattes, Cappuccinos and Espressos on the set of "What's Your Number?"

We love going Hollywood! For a couple of years now, we have been lucky enough to get to work on many of the movies being filmed here in Boston. It's an honor to continue to get called back, and an even better feeling when cast and crew remember us from other movies we've done! Tonight, we find ourselves on the set of "What's Your Number?", starring Anna Farris, Chris Evans, Joel McHale, Andy Samberg and others. This was our second time on the set. This time at the W Hotel in Boston. As you'll see from the pics we were located outside right near where they were filming. Joel McHale was filming a scene inside The W and the cast and crew would make their way out to us for some Hawaiian Java to keep themselves going throughout the night!

Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies Serving Smoothies & Espressos at Norwich University Winter Carnival!

Maui Wowi Supports the Troops and The Troops Support Maui Wowi! We were invited to be a part of Norwich University's Winter Carnival on their campus in beautiful Vermont! We are always honored to be a part of any campus' event and this was no different. John and the crew put on quite a show. Rook Dining, in the Wise Campus Center, was packed with under and upperclassmen. The underclassmen wearing their fatigues, of course, and it was a great site to see them all in line waiting for either a Strawberry-Banana, Black Raspberry, or Lemon Wave Smoothie. We also served up Kona Espressos, with caramel, vanilla and peppermint mocha. We also served up Ghiradelli Hot Kokos to go along with the smoothies, lattes and cappuccinos. A great time was had by all, and we'd once again like to thank John and Kelly for bringing us in. Mahalo, Norwich!!

Maui Wowi at The Pomfret School for The Relay For Life Event

Looking for a great way to draw people to a an event your having, or make it even more fun? Well, The Pomfret School knows who to turn to! They had Maui Wowi back for the third time in a year to serve Kona Espressos, Lattes, Mohcas, Cappuccinos and Ghiradelli Hot Kokos to the students to keep them wired during their Relay For Life Event. This is a great cause and we're honored to be a part of it. Not only that, the students themselves are just flat-out hilarious and a lot of fun to be around! I'd like to think the Kona Espressos enhanced that, but I'm sure they are like that all the time! Mahalo once again to Anne for having us in. We look forward to working with you again really soon!

Last one of the year! Full-Service coffee/cappuccino, latte, kona bar at 18 Tremont Street in Boston

Wow this year went by fast! We end it on a high note, however, finding ourselves at the recently re-done building of 18 Tremont Street in Boston. We once again brought our fold-out coffee bar and served peppermint mochas, cinnamon dolces, ghiradelli hot koko, and kona coffee to over 300 people! It went very well and the entire lobby looked like a Winter Wonderland, complete with Maui Wowi! Mahalo to Robyn for having us in! We are grateful for all the wonderful people, companies and colleges that brought in Maui Wowi this year to be a part of their event. We look forward to working with you again in 2010! Mele Kalikimaka!

Maui Wowi serving up peppermint mochas, cinnamon dolces, and ghiradelli hot koko at 60 Temple Place in Boston!

What an awesome time of year, right? Holiday parties and celebrations all over the place and we're happy to be a part of each one. We feel so lucky to be a part of all of these corporate Holiday Parties and Building Holiday parties. Today, we find ourselves at 60 Temple Place in Downtown Boston. We had a great time as usual and everyone loved the peppermint mochas, cinnamon dolces, and ghiradelli hot koko. We love seeing people's faces light up when they walk into the lobby and see Maui Wowi set up there! One other note about this building, the gentleman in the picture above..his name is actually Maui!!! I'm very certain that's not how it's spelled, but he's Italian and came up to the bar and said, "Hey, Maui Wowi! That's what people call me!". I asked why they call him that and he explained his name is Maui. How incredible is that? So, of course he needed to be in the pic. Maybe soon more people will be naming their kids Maui because they love our drinks so much?

More Peppermint Mochas, Ginerbread Lattes, Kona Coffee and Ghiradelli Hot Koko for Westborough Business Park

Another Office Park, another Holiday Celebration! This time we find ourselves at Westborough Business Park in Westborough, MA working with Heather and the crew! They were handing out some tasty Gingerbread men (and women) to the corporate tenants of the buildings and we were there to bring some aloha and Christmas Spirit with our Peppermint Mochas, Gingerbread Lattes, Ghiradelli Hot Kokos, and Kona Coffee. It was an awesome time! We did 4 separate buildings with a few hundred tenants in each! It was busy to say the least, but tons of fun. We had a great time joking around with everyone and, of course, we take great pleasure in watching everyone rave about our lattes, coffee and hot kokos! Thanks so much to Heather and Kayla for having us in! Looking forward to seeing you in the Spring!

Worcester State College Welcomes Maui Wowi Kona Coffees, Espressos, and Hot Koko for Winter in Wooville!

It was Snowing outside and inside at Worcester State College as the campus brought us in to be a part of it's "Winter In Wooville" event this weekend. As you'll see, it was so busy, I only had a chance to take pictures in the beginning and the end when we were cleaning up. It was really busy and they had a great turn-out! The event consisted of a chocolate chip cookie making station, a gift-wrapping station, a place where you could get your picture taken and put on a mug (what a great gift idea!), a pastry station, and of course, Maui Wowi!! We brought our full-service Kona Espresso/Latte/Mocha Bar along with Hot Koko (what winter scene is complete without Hot Koko?) and our Gourmet Kona Coffee. Mahalo to WSC for bringing us in! Looking forward to working with you again soon.
