Maui Wowi Parrot Bay Rum Smoothies for Hampshire College's Retirement Party

Event #2 of Saturday! Very close to being exhausted at this point, but we knew we'd perk up as soon as we got to Hampshire College. So, we downed some of our own Hawaiian Kona Coffee and got back into the swing of it to serve some smoothies with Rum for this Tropical Themed Party. One of Hampshire College's most esteemed professors was calling it a career and wanted to go out in style. So, those who knew him best knew he'd love a Tropical Themed Event. What tropical themed event is complete without Maui Wowi and the Tiki Bar? Not only did they bring us in, but they also had a complete steel drum band as well!! We were set up outside on the porch along with the steel drum band and the other bar. We served the guests Strawberry-Banana and Pina Colada Smoothies with some Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum in each one. As if our smoothies weren't already healthy and delicious, we can also add that extra something to your party by turning them into daquiris and margaritas!! The guests were pleased and enjoyed their drinks and hawaiian leis to make them feel like they were on The Island of Amherst instead of the Town of Amherst! Mahalo to Nick and Kelly for bringing us in!!

Maui Wowi at Connecticut College's Floralia Event!

Another Saturday and another 2 events for Maui Wowi! First, we find ourselves at Connecticut College for their famous annual Floralia Event! This is one big party, folks. Students camp out in tents and begin partying around 6am!! Who knew college kids were up that early on a Saturday? For Floralia though, they throw out all the rules. By the time Maui Wowi showed up at 11am, students had already been partying for 5 hours!! So, you can imagine how much fun we had. They were able to take a break from the partying and grab some smoothies along with the other food that the College was serving. Ali was helping out today and she had a great time as well working with all the students. If you look at the t-shirt of one of the students drinking a smoothie, I think it shows what kind of "Divine" Powers are at play when Maui Wowi comes to town!

Maui Wowi Serves up Smoothies to the Students of Roger Williams University

And, we're back! Back in Rhode Island again. Johnson & Wales last night in Providence, Roger Williams today in Bristol! I guess Rhode Island loves the Hawaiian Islands! Roger Williams had a fantastic week of activities planned for their Spring Week and wanted Maui Wowi to be a part of it. Naturally, we were very excited. It was a sports themed week (anyone who knows me, knows I was happy about that) and we fit right in with all the other vendors they had there . The weather wasn't cooperating, so they moved the whole thing into their Field House which was just fine. They set up booths that would test your accuracy on football throws, soccer kicks, and shooting a basketball. Kendra was busy working the blenders (and doing a great job!) and I was busy taking pics of everyone having fun. We had an awesome time here and can't wait to work with RWU again. This was another school with tons of athletes and our healthy smoothies fit right in! Mahalo to John for having us in!

Maui Wowi at Johnson & Wales University for Movie Night

The Maui Wowi College Tour continues!! We found ourselves at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI for their Movie Night on the quad. We were a part of their Spring Week Festivities that were being capped off by a performance from Ludacris the next night!! I did my best to score some tickets. Tonight, we were serving up Cappucino, Strawberry Banana, and Pina Colada smoothies to students while they grabbed some popcorn and blankets and watched "He's Just Not That Into You". As an added bonus, we got to watch the movie. Both Matt and I were surprised at how funny the movie actually was, but don't tell anyone we said that....Mahalo to Meagan for bringing us in to JWU!

6 Hours of Peace, Music & Smoothies...at Southern New Hampshire University

What a day! 88 degrees, 2 events at 2 schools, tons of fun! First, let's talk about Southern New Hampshire University. We were up in Manchester, New Hampshire for their SNHU-Stock event. It was a Woodstock themed mega-barbeque that consisted of a ton of different bands, a beer tent for students, great food and, of course Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies!! The Tiki Hut was busy all day serving up close to 1000 smoothies to the thirsty students at SNHU! The blenders were working over time, but it was well worth it. Everyone had a great time and the event was a tremendous success. Watching everyone chill and have a great time while listening to some music, made me want to go back to college! You can tell from the pics that everyone was enjoying the day and the smoothies!

The Sugar Hil Gang, Third Eye Blind, and Maui Wowi at Bentley University!!

Imagine those three on one stage? I have to say, Bentley knows how to do it. Last week we got to work with Jam'n 94.5 and DJ Maverik, this week we get to work with the legendary Sugarhill Gang and Third Eye Blind! Maui Wowi was set up right in the thick of it all and serving up black-raspberry, strawberry-banana, and pina colada smoothies to the students on this 88 degree day in April. You couldn't ask for a more perfect day for weather. Matt and Alex D kept the blenders going all day long for us and did a fantastic job at making sure everyone got to enjoy some of the Aloha Spirit! Great event and the second one today!!

Maui Wowi Serves Up Some Spring Smoothies to Anna Maria College

We found ourselves hanging loose with the AmCats of Anna Maria College, in Paxton, MA on Thursday serving up Strawberry-Banana and Black Raspberry Smoothies. They first came across us at the NACA Northeast Regional Conference in Hartford, CT. After sampling some smoothies there and seeing the Tiki Hut in action, they knew they wanted some Aloha Spirit on Campus and we were happy to be there.

Some Students had 3 or 4 smoothies each! Black Raspberry was the most popular flavor. This campus is full of athletes too. It seemed almost every student that came by the hut played a sport of some kind for the college. This worked out well, as our all-natural, non-fat smoothies are a healthy treat. In fact, some students stopped by to grab one on their way to their games while the buses were waiting! If they won, we'd like to think Maui Wowi played a hand in that. A big Mahalo goes out to Brian for bringing us on campus. We look forward to being back on campus in the near future!
